Holly Maslen

Holly started her four week residency experimenting with constructing garments from hand painted fabric. Holly’s idea was to develop a range of clothes, which was a new avenue in her artistic practice. Holly had a customary black and white style in which she would hand paint fabrics and wanted to experiment cutting and sewing her own patterns on dresses, tunics and skirts. Holly also wanted to develop designs based around architectural shapes and features seen around Ryde.
